Happy Snake Free Ireland Day!
Today’s BLOG has ben Canseld
We did manage to get this much out before...
Well, there are no snakes in Ireland, but from what I can gather this had nothing to do with St Patrick - reptiles and amphibians have never repopulated Ireland after the last ice age. It’s the same in Iceland were Bjork is from
St Patrick's removal of the snakes from Ireland was an early example of the Catholic Church's spin policies. One thing I found out, they never told us...The serpent was the symbol of the Druids in Ireland at that time. That was who St Patrick managed to drive out of Ireland. He did this by threatening them with death if they didn't convert to christianity. Not what Jesus would have done.
Have a Happy St. Patricks day - whatever that means to you. To me it’s an excuse to have a pint for lunch. And to remember the Irish friends I have met because of my involvement with the band Celtic Soul. They are all wonderful guys that I have kept up with over the years. Never a dull moment. Here’s to ya. Kevin Breslin, Nick Watson, and Spade McQuade. Slainte Guys!!!

Andy has learned to just say YES to life/\\
