Good Morning Fellow Eaters,
Everyone seems to hate going to the dentist. I can understand that, the sayin’ “beats having a root canal” sums it all up. But, some go as far as to say they even hate their Dentist. - To this I have only one reply - CHANGE DENTISTS!
I can say this with some authority because I have had may Dentists in my life. Some of them were Evil Nazis - some alright - some pretty good - but the guy I see know has them all beat - I’ll admit it - I’ll say it - I’ll shout it from the rooftops. I LOVE MY DENTIST!!
Here’s a quick look at my history with Dentists.
When Irish Eyes Are Smilin'
Believe it or not, it was a trip to an Irish Pub that led me to my current Dental Care Provider. On my way home from see yet another new Dentist I stopped in Oh Brothers Irish Pub in 5-points for a Guinness. While I sat at the bar enjoying my liquid cereal, I noticed next door a new business - Five-Points Dental. And since i was looking for a new dentist, and this was a perfect location, I went in and checked the place out. It was in an old modest Riverside Craftsman style house that had been modernated - the word I made up to describe a quality renovation that uses modern fixtures (lighting - windows - plumbing - etc) with a style that doesn’t distract or diminish the original design. I called Kathleen and asked her if this guy was on our insurance - she said yes and I made an appointment - That’s how Dr Ronald K. Roesssler became my new and hopefully my last, he’s a fairly young fella, Dentist.
What impressed me the most is that he noticed my old dumb Motorola Razor phone - held together by stickers - he asked me if I would like his old car charger - and amazingly remembered that he had said so for, when I went back for a follow up there it was - the charger waiting for me. It could have been his assistant that reminded him, I don’t know - either way I had a good feeling about the place. I’ve been going there for several years now and have, not once, wanted to punch him in the mouth. Which is my boo,k makes him a quality Doctor.
Here’s a little excerpt from his bio...
Raised in Clearwater, Florida, Dr. Ronald K. Roessler D.M.D. attended theUniversity of Central Florida (UCF) for his undergraduate studies and the University of Florida (UF) for his doctorate of medical dentistry. With extreme proficiency in all areas of general dentistry, he also maintains a special interest in the area of cosmetic dentistry. And as a patient of Dr. Roessler’s, one can be assured of his dedication to providing the highest quality dental services in a comfortable and caring environment. As you can see, I’m set in the Dental department, which is a very, very good thing. Although it is important for everyone to see their Dentist regularly and take care of their teeth, it is extra important for those with pd. The last thing you want to do is to have to deal with Dental problems along with the unknown your condition. And remember, if you don’t like your Dentist - FIND A NEW ONE. If you don’t have one - FIND ONE, If you don’t have insurance - GET SOME. And if you don’t have a job -LOOK FOR ONE. If only to take care of your teeth - the only teeth you’ll ever have. I’m assuming were all adults here.
Until Tomorrow when I write about last night’s stone soup,

meet Andy Ward King, a professional musician and artist until a diagnosis of parkinons dsease at age 49 forced him into an early retirement., he now uses his music, his art along with the whimsical world he has created in this blog as therapy to ( as he puts it ) outsmart his brain and make the daily battles with parkinson’s a little bit easier, to give him that all important reason to get up on the morning, to make his life worth living. Andy has learned how to say NO to gving up \ NO to depression and apathy \ NO to following willingly the road of decline that stretches before him. he learned that to say no to all of these things all one has to do is say yes. Andy has learned to just say YES to life/\\
