Good Morning ( I Think)
If I only had a brain...
Whenever I am examined by my Neurologist to see how my parkinson’s is progressing - or not progressing, they start out by telling me a little story. A simple story like... The little, red headed girl threw the tennis ball over the brick house. I am told to remember the story and that I will be asked to repeat it at the end of the exam. I’m then asked to perform all kinds of stupid human ticks, some of which include - count backwards from 100 by sixes or eights or sevens. Say the months of the year and days of the week backwards. What is today’s date? Who is the current president? Believe it or not, the last one always stumps me. I think that the reason have trouble is because I really don’t care. It is not caused by parkisons’s. I just don’t care - they’re all the same.
i usually do quite well on these tests, but there will come a time when I won’t do so well. There will come a time - could be 10 years - could be 30. Only God knows and he doesn’t care - he isn’t supposed to - it’s not his job, I think that God (like me not knowing the president) has a reason for not caring. It doesn’t really matter. Can you remember the story?
Mudville Monster Mashup
Last Saturdays’ Summer Solstice Soirée Hosted by Andy King was a splendid time for all - here’s what an un secret government spy had to say...
...It was wonderful. Andy did a striptease and the band played parcheesi music until the sun came up. Although backwards and in no particular order, it was great! Also, Andy’s new musical parter, Rachael Levin added just the right amount of sugar to make it all one sweet "Piece Of Cake!”
Georges du Plonge (public spy)
Playwright Jennifer Chase had this to say. - "It was awesome Andy Ward King and Dr. Girlfriend. You guys kicked it! Really awesome work!

just say yes!
meet Andy Ward King, a professional musician and artist until a diagnosis of parkinons dsease at age 49 forced him into an early retirement., he now uses his music, his art along with the whimsical world he has created in this blog as therapy to ( as he puts it ) outsmart his brain and make the daily battles with parkinson’s a little bit easier, to give him that all important reason to get up on the morning, to make his life worth living. Andy has learned how to say NO to gving up \ NO to depression and apathy \ NO to following willingly the road of decline that stretches before him. he learned that to say no to all of these things all one has to do is say yes. Andy has learned to just say YES to life/\\
