Good Morning Morning People, (and the rest)
There are few things in this world that are absolutely unneeded, even Reality TV Shows, High Fructose Corn Syrup and Teats on a Bull serve some evolutionary purpose. The one thing that I feel could fall off the Earth today and no one would really care is... Fashion, or the Fashion industry. Of course the people who would stop making unbelievable amounts of money providing a product that no one needs would care - but that’s my point.
Let’s say I owned a car company and each year I spent most of my energy designing next years model. Most of my energy also means most of my money. I would be forced to sell you a new car every year in order to make any profit, and if you were convinced this was the way that it should be, you would buy one.
That is what the Fashion Industry has done since its start and what it has to do to stay alive. But, that’s not the way it has to be - that’s not the way it has to work. The pharmaceutical companies have us over a barrel. Monsanto has us over a barrel. Our own government has us over a barrel. For the most part - We can’t make our own life saving medications - We soon won’t be able to grow our own food and we can’t decide many basic human options without first approval of our government. However, there is one thing we can do and do until the runway models in Milan come home. We can make our own fashion.
We can make our own fashion - anyone can. Go to the thrift store with $5 and with a little imagination you can have a brand new outfit to wear to your cousins wedding. The key word is imagination... it’s the same stuff the fashionistas use to separate you from your money each season, that and painfully skinny fashion models.
Take back your imagination! Be your own model! Make your own Fashion. Start practicing now because soon it might be one of the few things you’ll be allowed to do yourself.
Tuck in your shirt!
just say yes!
meet Andy Ward King, a professional musician and artist until a diagnosis of parkinons dsease at age 49 forced him into an early retirement., he now uses his music, his art along with the whimsical world he has created in this blog as therapy to ( as he puts it ) outsmart his brain and make the daily battles with parkinson’s a little bit easier, to give him that all important reason to get up on the morning, to make his life worth living. Andy has learned how to say NO to gving up \ NO to depression and apathy \ NO to following willingly the road of decline that stretches before him. he learned that to say no to all of these things all one has to do is say yes. Andy has learned to just say YES to life/\\
