New York Trip
Long way to go, short time to get there.
We consider the NYC show a success, for many reasons. The main one being that we heard back from some of the audience who said they left the show feeling inspired. If I can help one person to feel better about themselves and to discover a reason to get up in the morning, I’ve done my job. But, I have a lot of work to do, no time to rest. It’s coming up on Holiday time here in the AndyVerse. I’ll be safe here and may you be safe wherever you are.
"Andy has good stories, his playing is great and his spirit is amazing! His eclectic approach is quirky and fun.”
New York-based jazz singer, songwriter, arranger, and actress.
. . . "such a human and honest evening - I thank you for bringing Andy Ward King to perform. I certainly felt honored to be a witness to his art. And to be embraced like family by everyone.”
AndyVerse MISSION STATEMENT...
Every day is a challenge,
God intended it that way, life is hard.
I have no excuse to blame the world,
or anything in it, for this...
For, life won’t be as hard if
I have a reason to
get up in the morning,
a reason to get up with a smile,
ready to live that day to it’s fullest.
I feel that the act of creating gives
me that reason, that excuse to smile,
that reason to get up.
If it works for me,
it should work for you.
So, find something to create that makes you happy,
get up, go forth, and do it!
if (Creating = Happiness) and
(Happiness = Reason to Get Up) and
(Reason to Get Up = Life) then…
(Life = Creating)
Look Ma, No Cane.
This was taken by Jeff Mosier before I started on Sinemet and Neupro. I’m much better now, Thank you. It’s night and day - up and down - Batman and The Penguin. I don’t shake nearly as much, I drive, walk and do push-ups like a normal person. I’ve produced a CD of my original material. Done 2 one man shows (One in New York) I maintain a daily blog and website -http://andywardking.com - Also, I’m finishing a book that will be digitally published and planning an art show exhibiting my paintings. Parkinson’s disease is a condition you live with, not die from. And because of chemistry and a caring doctor I’m able to live it to the fullest. Thanks Jeff for reminding me how precious life still is.
It’s hard for me to watch this, that’s why I tucked it away in this back alley location in the AndyVerse. It’s there if I ever need a reminder of how I was, and still could become. You can tell I’ve lost weight, gotten stronger and more agile. If I keep working out, walking, doing tai chi and yoga. I might not become as bad as I am in this video again.
